Creative Content Marketing

What is Content Marketing?

Content Marketing can be considered as a creative approach to subtly promote a product or service to your target audience with the use of interactive content. The piece of content should be engaging and must gain the reader one way or another, it must make the reader realize the need of the advertised product or service without being too obvious about it. When done in the right way, content marketing can be a great source to gain recognition if not any leads for your entity.

What exactly is meant by content?

Since the onset of the internet, content has changed its meaning vastly. Anything which draws the attention of the masses and keeps them engrossed can be considered as content, varying from informative articles, funny videos, insightful info-graphics, podcasts to viral pictures. It doesn't necessarily mean that content is only on the online front, the use of content for marketing purposes is not a new thing; newspaper publications, magazines, pamphlets, newsletters, presentations etc. has been around since a long time.

Although, the online platform has made things way easier, inbound marketing strategies to bring in the audience which match with you target customer only increases your chances to be considered by the prospect. The most important question here how to make the content enduring enough to taint the audience with your product?

How to make the content engaging?

  • Sort out your priorities- creating engaging content should be your main goal and the result should be marketing your product, not vice versa. If you think you can get away with boring content and somehow bring your product on the map, then you're wrong friend. If the audience doesn't see any effort in your content they won't stick around enough to even be aware about what you are trying to promote.
  • Storytelling- Include pictures, graphs, numbers, subtitles, bullet points, latest vocabulary etc to make your articles as easily readable as possible. It's important to make the articles simple and smooth, incorporate examples and scenarios which make it more engrossing.
  • A little bit of humor never hurts- Whatever type of content you are posting online, make sure it is entertaining, including little limericks or one-liner jokes will grab more attention.
  • Create visual content- visual content is easy to digest and understand as they're more perceivable, images or pictures grab eyes quicker and also making your content visual can save you from straight forward boring sentences as it's always easier to explain yourself through pictures.
  • Let the reader put the least amount of effort- As soon as your content starts to suck out effort from your reader, they keep losing interest. Make it simple always.
  • Experiment with different styles of content marketing- What works for you might not work for everyone and vice versa. It's important to keep trying different styles and creative content marketing strategies to see what works for your product.
  • Always make sure the reader takes something from you- Even if they initially don't get attracted to your product, it's necessary they gain something from your content. For example,  publishing "How to" videos collaborating your product within, the receiver always gains some knowledge from it.
  • Use attractive headlines and highlight the important points- Highlighted and bigger fonts grabs the attention of the eye first, so make sure your reader finds what they're looking for in the first glance.
  • Look for the best platform for your business- The best place to publish your content is social media, make sure you know which one's the best for you. Instagram is best for visually appealing content and pictures whereas LinkedIn is for professional and high end content for businesses, look for the best option.
  • Keep up with the trends and season- Scenario specific content always gets the most clicks, it's a fact. People like to keep up with the trends and stay updated, grab their attention by doing the same.
  • Be creative!- Don't be scared to try out something new!

Cheers!
